Topic: Adult and Student Writers

Question: How do adult writers differ from student writers?

Answer: “Concluded that adults more than students, make clear to themselves an understanding of the problem, main purpose, and the audience during the prewriting phase….” VJ Scobee, 19983, 214.

Comment: If the students do not have a clear understanding of the problem they are addressing, the purpose for which they are writing and the audience, they have not been taught to do so. RayS.
