Topic: A Teacher's Advice about Writing

Question: What advice would you give your students about writing?

Answer: Here’s one teacher’s advice about writing:

> Writing is never easy nor fast.

> Writing is bringing order out of chaos.

> Good writing is rewriting.

> Writing is a recursive process through which we discover what we want to say.

> We should never forget our audience: we must revise our writer-based prose to reader-based prose.

Comment: To which I add, among other things: you will continually learn to write. You will never stop learning to write. RayS.
