Topic: Writing and Audience

Note: Sorry for the disruption, folks. I was called away from my duties as a blogger by an unintended hospital stay. Today, I resume my blog. RayS.

Question: Does a sense of audience increase with age? Or with method of instruction?

Answer: Researcher sides with the idea of development (or age). CL Atkins, 1983, 423.

Comment: Of course, “method” is awfully broad. There are methods and methods. I think it probably is a combination of both age and methods. A better question: To what extent do teachers focus on audience when teaching writing? RayS.
